Vertical balers cost between $6,500 and $30,000 in 2026. Compact units for small back rooms start at $6,500, mid-range machines run $9,400 to $16,158, and heavy-duty 72-inch balers producing 1,400+ pound bales reach $30,000.

Prices are for the equipment. Freight, rigging, and electrical are quoted separately. Most commercial balers require three-phase power, commonly in the 208-480V range - the B5 Wide is a notable exception that runs on single-phase.
How to size a baler
Match the chamber to your cardboard volume, not your budget. The 60-inch mill-size class, like the B6030, produces bales recyclers accept directly, which is what makes cardboard sellable rather than disposable. Lower-volume sites are better served by a compact unit such as the B4 or the B5 Wide, which trades bale size for footprint and runs on single-phase power. Baler or compactor?
If your waste is mostly cardboard, bale it. If it is mixed refuse, compact it. Many facilities end up with both: a baler for the cardboard stream and a compactor for everything else. See compactor prices for that side of the catalog.
Keeping a baler running
Balers are hydraulic machines. Oil changes, hose inspections, and safety-interlock checks are inexpensive; a seized ram or failed cylinder is not. We provide service and repair for every make and model, so an honest repair-or-replace assessment does not depend on who sold you the machine.
